Offices of the Authority
Legal Affairs is organized into several divisions and groups, each responsible for specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Legal Consultation Department
- Case Management Department
- Decision, Contract, and Agreement Preparation Department
- Administrative Affairs Department for the Electronic Archiving of All Legal Office Activities
Responsibilities of Legal Affairs Include:
- Providing legal opinions and consultations on matters referred to the office.
- Conducting legal research and studies related to the authority's functions.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements to which the authority is a party.
- Preparing, drafting, and reviewing regulations and decisions issued by the authority's Director General and coordinating them with relevant entities.
- Recording the decisions made by the Director General and assigning them sequential numbers based on their issuance dates.
- Monitoring applicable legislation, staying informed of changes, and organizing and maintaining related documents.
- Following up on cases filed by or against the authority and preparing defence memorandums supported by the necessary documentation.
- Conducting inquiries with individuals referred for investigation and participating in disciplinary boards.
- Attending meetings and committees as assigned to provide the legal perspective of the authority.
Legal Affairs
The Quality Assurance team is responsible for:
- Developing plans, policies, and processes that align with the authority's role in quality assurance and the application of technology transfer projects.
- Recommending the necessary budgets to support and maintain quality standards.
- Approving quality standards and objectives for all scientific research activities related to genetic fingerprinting and promoting these standards to the relevant entities supported by the authority.
- Proposing the necessary accreditation and quality standards for the authority.
- Creating processes and procedures that ensure continuous improvement.
- Proposing programs and mechanisms for granting monetary and in-kind incentives to achieve high-quality scientific output in the field of genetic fingerprinting.
- Keeping abreast of modern developments in quality management, sharing these insights with scientific entities associated with the authority, and ensuring their implementation.
- Identifying key factors that characterize high-quality scientific output and fostering competitive advantages to enhance overall quality.
- Guiding scientists, researchers, and specialists on regulatory matters about total quality management.
- Coordinating with various divisions within the authority to offer quality management training courses for employees.
- Establishing and refining capabilities in measurement, analysis, inspection, statistics, and quality information, ensuring effective performance evaluation mechanisms are implemented.
- Planning and executing internal and external audits of quality systems in compliance with relevant international standards.
- Recommending experts and technical work teams, clearly defining their roles and determining their financial compensation as part of the authority's commitment to promoting quality and competitiveness in scientific research.
- Preparing periodic and annual reports detailing the office's activities.
- Performing any additional tasks assigned under applicable legislation.

Quality Assurance
Monitoring and Evaluation Office
The office has been established and has developed a work plan based on its designated responsibilities:
- The office engages with all departments and offices, including the Office of the Director-General, to request copies of communications, decisions, and committee formations. This process facilitates monitoring and evaluating the organization's activities and identifying challenges within the administrative structure.
- The office implements a periodic reporting system for all organizational activities and operations. These reports serve monitoring purposes and, upon approval, are submitted to the relevant authorities to ensure that departments and offices meet their assigned responsibilities.
- The office documents the monitoring reports from departments and offices, categorizing and classifying the data and information for future reference.
- The office evaluates the performance of technical and field committees established to execute projects within the organization, focusing on timelines and efficiency. It also oversees both outgoing and incoming correspondence from the Director-General monitors decisions and their implementation and tracks meeting activities.
